Silent Book Club, “Introvert Happy Hour,” Debuts in Door County at Kress Pavilion
Silent Book Club, the global community of readers who gather to read quietly in good company, is delighted to announce the launch of its newest chapter in Door County. Hosted by Jeanine Brennan and Mary Patza, the first gathering will take place at the Donald and Carol Kress Pavilion, offering local readers a welcoming, pressure-free space to enjoy books together.
Founded in San Francisco in 2012 when two friends met to read at a bar, Silent Book Club has grown to more than 2,000 chapters in over 20 countries. Unlike traditional book clubs, there are no assigned titles, no homework, and no required discussion—simply a shared appreciation for reading.
Door County Silent Book Club Meeting Schedule (February 3, 2026):
- 6:00–6:30 PM: Arrive, share food and beverages, and chat about what you’re reading
- 6:30–7:30 PM: Silent reading hour
- 7:30–8:00 PM: Optional socializing—or keep reading!
Attendees may bring their own book or check one out at the venue. Snacks and beverages to share are encouraged.
