Rehearsal Dinners

A beautiful venue in the heart of Door County, the Kress Pavilion offers two floors to host your event.

The second floor features the Great Hall, a modern space with floor to ceiling windows, wood floors and exposed beams, offering natural light and a bright room that highlights Door County beauty no matter what the weather. One side of the room features a double-sided gas fireplace, while the other features a video wall for slideshows and videos.

Surrounding the Great Hall is a wraparound porch, offering bay sunsets and orchard views with complimenting patio furniture. The south end of the porch features an indoor/outdoor fireplace and an area for a ceremony of up to 110, seated dinner for 50, or cocktails and bar set-up. The bayside of the porch features bluff and bay views and can accommodate a ceremony of up to 140 or seated dinner for 96.

The first floor of the Kress is home to the Egg Harbor library and features wood ceiling and floors, with a stone fireplace. Rented in conjunction with the Great Hall after library hours, the first floor can be converted into a special event space for a cocktail party of up to 120, ceremony of up to 110 seated guests, or seated dinner up to 64.

Please see our list of approved caterers. If your caterer is not on that list, or you wish to self- cater, please ask about our approved caterer application. You are able to bring in your own alcohol, but will need to have a licensed server that can be sourced through your caterer or through the Kress Pavilion. You are not allowed have a cash bar for your guests.

Great Hall Quick Stats:

  • Family-style and plated dinner in the Great Hall will accommodate up to 120
  • Buffet style dinner in the Great Hall for up to 102

  • Must be rented in conjunction with Great Hall and is perfect for a ceremony up to 110, seated dinner up to 64, or cocktail party up to 120.

Entire Building Quick Stats:

  • When entire building is rented it can accommodate up to 200 comfortably when there is access to the outdoor areas.
  • Without access to outside areas the building can accommodate 140 with downstairs, our weddings will host cocktail hour in the downstairs, transition upstairs for a seated dinner and then make dessert available downstairs as the staff transforms the upstairs for dancing. Alternatively, a number of couples have chosen to do food stations throughout for a heavy appetizer reception.
