A room for hands-on projects, the Maker Space is a collaborative work space for making, learning, exploring and sharing that uses high tech to no tech tool. With modular tables and seating for up to 10, the room features a sink and a 50” flat screen TV with current tele-conferencing capabilities.  Equipment is free to use, however there may be additional costs for supplies.

September: Fused Glass Wind Chimes

Make a colorful fused glass wind chime to hang in your window or any sheltered area. Create your own wind chime by arranging pieces of glass on a base of fusible glass. Return in a week and finish your chime with wire, chains and more.

October: Applefest

Celebrate the apple harvest with fun, hands-on activities like apple cider pressing, dried apple projects, and festive apple-themed crafts!

November: Fabric Painting & Glass Painting

Get creative with a variety of fun painting projects, including fabric painting, glass painting, champagne glass decorating, reverse glass plate painting, and painting your own hot pads!

December: Fused Glass Spoons

Create beautiful and unique fused glass spoons and swizzle sticks.  We will be using a variety of techniques and molds.

January: Open Glass Studio

Create your own unique fused glass artwork in our open studio! Explore your creativity with a selection of projects from the past or create your own.

February: Basket Weaving

Learn the art of basket weaving in the Makerspace! Create a beautiful, handcrafted basket while exploring traditional techniques and your own creativity.

March: Japanese Fabric Art / Kinusaiga

Explore the beautiful Japanese art of Kinusaiga, creating fabric artwork without sewing. Combine colorful fabrics and intricate designs to create a unique piece of art.

April: Card Making w/Sizzix & Cricut

Get creative and design beautiful, personalized cards using the Sizzix and Cricut! Explore fun techniques, creative designs, and embellishments to make cards for every occasion.

May: Fused Glass – Plant Stakes

Add a colorful, artistic touch to your garden with handmade fused glass plant stakes! Design your stake using colorful glass and shapes.

June: Maker Space Outdoors – Fairy Gardens and Moss Terrariums

Create your own enchanting miniature world with a fairy garden or a moss terrarium. Explore your creativity while designing a unique little garden to enjoy at home!

July: Maker Space Outdoors – Sun Printing or Cyanotype

Discover the magic of sun printing with cyanotype! Use natural objects, shapes, and designs to create beautiful blue-and-white prints using the power of sunlight.

Get creative with simple cement projects! Make charming concrete mushrooms, decorative doily planters, or personalized stepping stones.

Jeanine Brennan | Maker Space Facilitator

Reading and sharing its joys are her passion. She loves learning new crafts, which is why she enjoys the Egg Harbor’s library’s MakerSpace so much. Jeanine has transitioned from her role as the Egg Harbor Library Branch Manager into the role of Maker Space Facilitator.  Jeanine plans and organizes all of the monthly activities taking place within the space.
