A room for hands-on projects, the Maker Space is a collaborative work space for making, learning, exploring and sharing that uses high tech to no tech tool. With modular tables and seating for up to 10, the room features a sink and a 50” flat screen TV with current tele-conferencing capabilities.  Equipment is free to use, however there may be additional costs for supplies.

  • Die Cutting & Embossing Machine

 

  • Paper Cutter

November: Lip Balm

Open Craft Night – October 28th 5pm

Create your own lip balm with essential oils and natural products.

*this activity will end on Wednesday, November 26th*

December: Fused Glass Ornaments

Open Craft Night – November 25th 5pm

Photos, drawings and images can be fused into glass.  Select one of our Door County decals and add it to glass.  After firing the decals turn Sepia.  All images must be sent in by December 8th.

January: Fused Glass Open Studio

Open Craft Night – December 30th 6pm

February: Alcohol Inks

Open Craft Night – January 27th 5pm

Create one-of-a-kind necklaces using alcohol ink and washers.  Learn several methods of applying ink to product different effects.  Add beads and charms to create a beautiful piece of wearable art.  Alcohol inks stain, wear old clothes.

March: Candle Making

Open Craft Night – February 24th 5pm

Learn how to create candles using soy wax, fragrances, wicks and containers.  Recommended for adults and teens.

April: Burlap Crafts

Open Craft Night – March 31st 5pm

Repurpose burlap coffee sacks into a tote bag, apron or basket

May: Fused Glass Votives

Open Craft Night – April 28th 5pm

Create your own design using glass tools to cut shapes.  Recommended for adults and teens.

June: Cricut Book Bags

Open Craft Night – May 26th 5pm

Get ready for summer reading by personalizing a canvas book bag.  The Cricut will be available to use.

July: Mosaic Magnets

Open Craft Night – June 30th 5pm

Create a unique mini work of art with the Millefiori beads, acrylic square and tweezers.

August: Polymer Clay

Open Craft Night – July 28th 5pm

Polymer clay is a versatile and exciting medium that opens up a world of creative possibilities from jewelry to miniature figurines.

Reading and sharing its joys are her passion. She loves learning new crafts, which is why she enjoys the Egg Harbor’s library’s MakerSpace so much. Jeanine has transitioned from her role as the Egg Harbor Library Branch Manager into the role of Maker Space Facilitator.  Jeanine plans and organizes all of the monthly activities taking place within the space.
