Eggs as Art! Kathy “Dovetail” Beck Egg Museum
The Dovetail Gallery & Studio began in 1994 as a result of Kathy’s mission and dream to bring eggs to Egg Harbor – not just plain eggs from a market but her carved eggshell artwork. And so her collection began, one decorated and natural egg at a time, from all over the world. After 22 years in business, her Dovetail Egg Museum grew to approximately 500 eggs…ethnic, contemporary, antique and more. It also includes a wild bird egg collection, a Faberge and a 70 million year old dinosaur egg. The Village of Egg Harbor accepted Kathy’s donation to be a permanent display at the Kress Pavilion.
