Seven Women: Reflections in Glass
The Public Arts Initiative of Egg Harbor (PAI) presents Seven Women: Reflections in Glass, an exhibition celebrating seven women artists and the expressive possibilities of mosaic.
Featuring Gail Elsholz, Holly Green, Deborah Javurek, Krista Johnson, Carol Olson, Karin Overbeck, and Cendi Remington, the exhibition brings together work ranging widely in form, scale, and style. Through glass, color, texture, pattern, and dimension, each artist brings her own creative voice to the art of mosaic.
While distinctly individual, the artists’ work has also been shaped by the experience of creating alongside one another. Their shared practice encourages experimentation, the exchange of ideas, and the willingness to ask, “What if we tried this?”—a spirit reflected throughout the exhibition.
Many artists have found inspiration and connection through the years at the Evergreen School House, the home and studio of artist Karin Overbeck, and that tradition continues with these seven women.
Seven Women: Reflections in Glass celebrates both individuality and connection—seven women expressing something of themselves through mosaic while encouraging one another to experiment, persevere, and see new possibilities. Together, their work offers a colorful reflection of what can happen when individual imagination meets a shared creative spirit.
The exhibition will be on view at the Donald & Carol Kress Pavilion in Egg Harbor from October 3, 2026 through January 24, 2027. The public is invited to meet the artists and celebrate the exhibition at a reception on Wednesday, October 14, from 6–8 p.m.
