Intermediate Yoga at 9am
Weekly on Mondays in the Great Hall or on the Kress porch, weather permitting.
This is a co-ed intermediate yoga class where all level of students are welcome!
The class meets at the Kress Pavilion overlooking the bay….a perfect place to come unwind. You will practice the basics of all the yoga asanas and you will find that you are getting stronger, more flexible can able to quiet your mind. Set this hour aside just for yourself, our calm and serene setting will be sure to take your mind off of other worries.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR Liz Heller has been in the fitness industry for 40 years and loves teaching! She won Outstanding Fitness Director at the YMCA’s five state convention. She has been creator and director of an annual 10K run in Evanston, Illinois; Creator and director of a week long fitness camp for women; and has been a personal trainer, aerobics instructor and most recently a popular yoga instructor at the Northern Door YMCA.

In collaboration with independent choreographer and Juilliard Alumni, Elizabeth Clark, Kress Pavilion hosts “Finding your Center* Movement class on Thursday mornings at 9 AM
Set in the Great Hall on Thursday mornings, the class will include music, flexibility and strength building in a casual atmosphere. Participants will facilitate “finding your center” with breath and body balance. Starting from the ground upward to the top of your head, we will practice movements which connect you with your body, heart and intellectual wholeness. This new class will also enhance and complement your current Yoga practice. Particular “hand gesture” routines can improve cognitive functioning as well as eye and hand co-ordination. Our “spinal mobilization” movement series is a movement path toward the prevention of osteoporosis. Visualizations and “mental sense impressions” will improve ease in daily life, improve well being and the quality of relaxation.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Elizabeth Clark is an independent choreographer. Her educational background includes a BFA in Dance from Stephens College, Columbia, MO. Post-graduate studies include Special Studies in Dance Performance and Movement Science from the Juilliard School of Music and Teacher’s College, Columbia University, NY, NY. Elizabeth Clark has done Independent Study with Irene Dowd in Ideo- Kinesis for Dance Teaching and Performance. She has Certifications, Level I and Level II in Conscious Body Coaching from the National Wellness Institute. She is an Adjunct Faculty member for SUNY Empire State College developing Wellness and Movement Programs. Ms. Clark enjoys teaching all ages and levels in community settings.

This is a co-ed yoga class hosted by Kathy Navis of Junction Center Yoga where all level of students are welcome! There is no set cost, this class is donation funded. Participants are invited to pay what they are able to afford, no sign up necessary.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR – “Kathy Navis has been practicing Yoga since 1980. She began her studies while in college at UWGB in Green Bay, WI. In 1996, she began to study with Kathleen Kelly Hoffman of the Bay Area Yoga Center. In 2001, she completed her teacher training as well as the advanced teacher training at the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara with Ganga White and Tracey Rich. Since then, she has done extensive study with Dr. Ranjani Cobo an Ashtanga teacher from Argentina. In 2006, Kathy began to work with the late Micheal Stone, a former Yoga teacher, psychotherapist, Buddhist teacher and author who was based in Toronto.
