Wednesday, Nov 7: Egg Harbor Seed Library Open House!
10 am – 5pm | Free
Seed saving is an ancient tradition with a lineage stretching back 12,000 years. But in less than a century’s time, this once fundamental part of the human experience has largely disappeared. The transition from rural agrarianism to urbanization has led to increasingly fewer people growing food and interacting with seeds. That’s where the Seed Library comes in.
In partnership with Thrive, Village of Egg Harbor’s Green Tier initiative, BookNook Gardens and the Egg Harbor branch of Door County Libraries, the Egg Harbor seed library is a community seed lending resource. It is volunteer run, free and easy to participate
Join us for an Open House to learn more. With seed saving workshops at the top of every hour, treats and information on how to participate and get started, we invite you to join and be part of this community project!
