On August 10, the Kress Pavilion will host its first cabaret performance in the Great Hall. Mary Reilly and accompanist, Joan Mead make their Door County debut in “Playing for Keeps” an entertaining evening of songs from Broadway, the Great American Songbook, Motown and more, which explore the challenges–and rewards–of staying in love.
Many entertainers sing about the joys of falling in love or the heartache of a breakup–but we don’t often hear songs about staying in love. In “Playing for Keeps”, Mary Reilly explores what it takes to make a relationship last, through all of the ups and downs, trials and delights.
