As part of a new collaboration series, the Kress Pavilion hosts an intimate dinner with Patricia Skalka, author of the award winning, Door County Dave Cubiak Mystery Series.
Skalka turned to fiction following a successful career in nonfiction. Her many credits include: Staff Writer for Reader’s Digest, freelancer, ghost writer, writing instructor, and book reviewer. She a is the author of Death Stalks Door County, Death at Gills Rock, Death in Cold Water, and Death Rides the Ferry, and the forthcoming, Death by the Bay, which Midwest Book Review calls “a deftly crafted gem.”
Skalka is president of the Sisters in Crime Chicagoland Chapter and a member of the Wisconsin chapter. Other professional memberships include: The Authors Guild of America, Mystery Writers of America, and Society of Midland Authors. She lives in Chicago and Door County.
The ticket includes dinner by Egg Harbor’s own Fireside Restaurant. Guests will enjoy a special presentation by Skalka, as well as a dinner Cajun style with a view of the bay sunset in the Kress Pavilion Great Hall.
